The ACES Alternate Route to Certification for Library Media Specialists (ARCLMS), http://www.aces.org/professional-development/arclms, is looking for current school library media specialists to host cohort participants for job shadowing as part of program requirements for cross-endorsement. The requirements for participants are listed below.

If you are interested in hosting, please fill out the form at this link: https://goo.gl/forms/xaBJKknSs6V6c5mc2.

ARCLMS participants are required to participate in a minimum of 18 hours of job shadowing experiences in settings as follows:

  * 6 hours in an elementary school (PK - 5)
  *   6 hours in a middle school (6 - 8)
  *   6 hours in a high school (9 - 12)

During each shadowing experience, participants are asked to plan a mini-lesson and implement it with students under the guidance of the host LMS. Mini-lessons should be 15-20 minutes in length, and must include student work samples or evidence of interactions. All shadowing must be completed during the regular school day in order to maximize opportunities to work with/observe interactions with students in schools.
