Last Sunday, we opened up registration for our annual *Share 2 Learn*
Conference. It's hard to believe we are planning the 4th one!
We are pleased to see the following "hot topics" being listed by
registrants:
- Makerspace
- Fixed schedules
- CT student privacy act and implications
- ESSA
- Meaningful collaboration for High School students
- Google classroom
- Adapting small spaces into a Learning Commons design
- Future Ready Librarians (and what it REALLY is)
- Flexible schedules
- I just want time to hear about new and exciting technology that media
specialists are using with their students.
- Gamification
- PreK-2 curriculum on a fixed schedule
- inquiry/project based learning, ideas for getting 5th graders excited
about reading
- Promoting the library for READING and less about maker spaces
- new books
Great topics to consider already!
In addition, I'd like to propose a session in which you bring a great book
(one that is not listed on awards lists etc) and share your lesson/activity
with the book. Participants would leave this session with a list of new
books and lessons to go along with them. Also, I've been piloting a *One
Book, One School, Every Month *program this year and would love to share
the books, lessons, and how this program has impacted students and staff.
Share 2 Learn is my favorite PD event of the year because we have so much
talent in our association and we are strongest when we share with each
other. Since it is only $50, consider inviting your administrator, a
classroom teacher, or literacy coach.
For the second year, my co-chair is Debbie Benedict. She is securing some
terrific prizes which you will get a sneak peek in the link below.
Please *visit *this link to register: https://www.smore.com/1axdf
*Keep in mind* that once you submit the Google Form, you will receive a
"response received" message which *includes the link to PayPal.*
Hope to see old friends and meet new ones this year!
