I don’t know if any of you read Pernille Ripp’s blog

but she has a great post https://pernillesripp.com/2018/01/27/18257/ about her daughter not wanting to read because her teacher said they had no homework on weekends and unintended consequences.

Food for thought about nightly independent reading.  Is it “homework” or not?

I also loved her previous post https://pernillesripp.com/2018/01/22/on-which-reading-program-to-purchase/  about reading programs.  I really wish I had her answer ready when I have been asked about this topic!

I highly recommend her blog and also the Global read aloud!
