Editors of the Journal of Media Literacy Education are welcoming
applications for volunteer members of the JMLE Editorial Board. The primary
role of the Editorial Board Members is to encourage manuscript submissions,
suggest special issues and promote JMLE at academic and professional
conferences around the world.

HOBBS RECEIVES THE NEIL POSTMAN CAREER ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IN PUBLIC
INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITY

Renee Hobbs was honored by the Media Ecology Association on June 23 at
their annual convention, held this year at the University of Maine. Her
plenary address was entitled, "The Competing Narratives of Digital and
