Stand Out
Every Time You Talk

Were you ever asked to give a presentation and your palms broke out in a cold sweat? Did you sink down in your chair, hoping you wouldn't be picked? Or did you lose sleep, wondering how you were going to survive talking in front of a group?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you're in the right place. Jean Baur, our speaker for this session, understands why making presentations is difficult, and has specific skills to share with you that will make you effective in this important work. She worked for a leading communications firm in New York City and trained more than 10,000 middle and senior-mangers in presentation skills and business writing.
Her goal is to help you reduce nervousness so that you're an effective speaker. Specifically you'll learn:
* Why solid eye contact helps you and your image
* Anchors to ground you and reduce nervousness
* Why gestures are important and how to use them to make your presentation come alive
* How to use your voice effectively
* Techniques to deal with distractions, a hostile audience, etc.
* How to run an effective Q&A session
