Hello!
*SAVE THE DATE*: Wednesday, April 10, 2019 for Library Advocacy Day at the
state capitol.
Check out CLA's Legislative Agenda
<https://ctlibraryassociation.starchapter.com/downloads/Advocacy/cla_legislative_agenda_2019.pdf>
for
the 2019 session of the General Assembly.
Use these talking points
<https://ctlibraryassociation.starchapter.com/downloads/Advocacy/talking_points_to_support_the_cla_legislative_agenda.docx>
when
speaking with your legislators about the importance of libraries.
Here are more details from CLC:
Our official gathering will be at 2:00 and will probably be about an hour
long. We have Room 310 at the Capitol until 4:00 p.m.
We’ll have handouts available at the CLA table in the LOB corridor that
people can stop by and pick up from 8:00 a.m. on. We’ll be using that as
our home base.
I recommend making appointments at any time that day that’s convenient for
the person who will be visiting.
Here’s what’s going on at the Capitol and LOB on Wednesday:
*Monday, April 8, 2019*

If your legislators are members of the two committees that are meeting that
day, then it’s a good day to try to get an appointment, outside of the
committee meeting time.
Visit our Engage page <https://cqrcengage.com/alact/app/register?9&m=54210> to
