duct tape
card board
beads
yarn
solo cups
plus plus blocks
play doh
green painted pizza boxes
tangrams
rubiks cubes
stamps and stamp pads
old computers to take apart
I connect these activities to picture books in the library…we read a book,
“brainstorm” a project (even though I already know what I want them to
build) then give them some time to build or tinker

Good morning,
We are looking to do more Makerspace and STEM activities during flex time
at our PreK-2 school. I have the following:
- Keva Planks
- Magnatiles
- Legos
- Perler beads
- Snap Circuits
I am looking to supplement what we have with additional maker and STEM
materials. Any suggestions?
Does anyone have experience with Squishy Circuits, Makey Makey or Make-Do
cardboard creations at this level? Any help is appreciated!
Have a great day!
