[CASL-L] Requesting Print, Fiction Circulation Stats, HS

I would love to know how you all are creating a culture of reading in your
schools and having such success in circulating a high quantity of fiction
titles. If you could share your tips that would be great! When I first
arrived in NB, 4 years ago, stats were very low. Now we have increased
them, but they are still low overall. We have tried theme book displays,
making announcements of our monthly themes, promoting books on our Marlin
display boards, running contests, etc... We have been fortunate enough to
have a change in some of our English classes in that they are now
implementing having students have an independent book to read in class
which has helped a lot. However, I would still love to see more books
circulating! I would also love to know if many of your teachers have their
own classroom libraries?
