[CASL-L] free author visit for lower elementary

Hi all,

I am passing along the info to a self-published author (who is a relative of a former colleague) who is offering a free author visit(s) when she visits CT. Nothing fancy, but she was lovely to work with when she came. I would recommend smaller group visits as a whole grade assembly was a bit much for her hands-on portion. I'm sure you could tailor it to fit your needs. Maybe she could visit classrooms or small groups in the Library. She is just excited to share her work, see kids, and is FREE! We did do a book sale for her but that's not required. Here is her website: https://sillyyaya.wordpress.com/

Hi there Torrie,

I will be visiting Connecticut in early October. I have reached out to many elementary schools in the area and have had zero response. I'm so sad! Are you aware of any schools in the area that may benefit from an

(FREE) author visit? I would be thrilled if you have any suggestions to offer.

My newest book, Gracie's RV Mis-Adventure, is an early chapter book, illustrated in black and white. It was named Amazon's #1 New Release in its genre the week it was launched!

I hope the beginning of your school year is going well.
