[CASL-L] CASL-L Digest, Vol 6, Issue 83

I'm an LMS in a 1:1 school. I've been at work for an hour. So far today, I
have:
- Completed a research request for a student who needs to read multiple
texts by the same author for literary comparison. Connected with the
teacher about timeline for project, determined that his reading rate won't
get him through two books, worked out a plan to use short stories, sourced
them, provided to the teacher.
- Researched and purchased covers that will ensure the safety of the
library's iPad collection
- Coordinated book club sets at varying reading levels around the
industrial revolution and delivered to the classroom teacher
- Checked in about co-teaching database research in the music classroom,
set schedule and reviewed our plan
- Reviewed our annual EBSCO contract, reviewed the budget (for the
millionth time this year) and made purchasing decisions for next year to
meet our strategic goals for our library and resources.
- Designed signage to promote the new displays I put up in the library
yesterday in anticipation of upcoming topics of study within the building
- Reached out to our Sora rep about accessing digital titles in the
Marketplace
- Checked in a host of books (*the ONLY thing I've done so far that a para
should be doing)
