In this day and age accessing information is not an issue, but learning how
to distinguish good information from bad is paramount.  The para is not
going to teach information literacy.  Who is going to manage the book
purchases?  MakerSpace?  Co-teaching of research best practices and
database usage?  Managing licenses for databases and other resources?

The role of the LMS is needed more now than it was when students only had
access to books.  The research options 25 years ago were pre-vetted and
limited to the print books available to students.  Now we assume that
students can make information decisions on their own.  As a HS LMS, I can
assure you that our students need to be taught how to discern between good
information and bad.  Freshman often times locate blogs and other
unreputable sources in Google searches because they are the first "hit."
They also do not understand bias and how to make informed decisions.  This
is the role of the LMS.
