Hi, Gail,If you teach young learners, I highly recommend Reading Picture Books with Children: How to Shake Up Storytime and Get Kids Talking about What They See by Megan Dowd Lambert. I promise you will never look at a picture book the same after reading it!If you want to learn more, I wrote about it on the Knowledge Quest website.
Teaching Talk: A Practical Guide to Fostering Student Thinking and Conversation is another good book.

Hi everyone,
I would love to hear your thoughts:
If you had to recommend just one book to read this summer to improve your practice what would it be? It could be either one you are planning to read or one that has had a significant impact on your teaching.
Also, if you care to comment, this very unusual school year has provided some space for rethinking. What do you view as your most important role in your school as a school librarian?
Thank you in advance for your thoughts!!
