[CASL-L] Library Clerks during Remote Learning...

Staff is working on a collection diversity audit, piloting a shelflist
reorganization (in Destiny; we will have to do the heavy lifting when we
get back) that is a hybrid of genrefying and Dewey for the social sciences,
and manually adding records for each of our unlimited simultaneous user
license books (Gale and ABC-CLIO) to LibGuides (800 books). Cataloging
Combined, this is a monstrous undertaking.
In the meantime, the virtual library <https://meet.google.com/rjd-arrk-gmw> is
open every period of the day, during which we schedule one-on-one
conferences with students as well as welcome drop-ins. Also, we are
furiously populating our YouTube channel
<https://www.youtube.com/user/loots1964> with new lessons and curating them
into organized LibGuides
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vRTcPCEf1RMn8t__zh8cqtCYxeDDGky62aQQrhWQOdrou8Ph0g_A_EK-6LqhB1PIe-pwaEKB3oS5LKv/pub>
.
We hope to make this one <https://ncps-k12.libguides.com/c.php?g=1011442>
beautiful some day, but right now it is a hot mess.
I composed a useful blog post about this *in my head*. And I am guessing
that is where it will stay as I will have no time to actually write it
between now and when it will be irrelevant. Consider this my post.
Stay distanced and healthy!
Big virtual hugs, y'all!
