Join us for this exciting webinar, "*Dream Big: Secure ESSER Funding for
Your School Library*"

“The latest round of ESSER Funding through the ARP Act is your district’s
opportunity to dream big—incorporating a much more strategic spending plan
to reform and reinvent education.” —Heather Bassett, Government Affairs
Liaison and Policy Analyst, Albuquerque Public Schools

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, signed into law on March 11,
allocated $122 billion for the ARP Elementary and Secondary School
Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund. Unprecedented in its scope, the relief
package works to assist educational agencies and school districts in safely
reopening, providing essential resources, and addressing the life-altering
effects of the pandemic on students and educators across the nation. As
Heather Bassett states above, these funds have the potential to generate
incredible opportunities for school districts everywhere. But the
accompanying rounds of acts (CARES, CRRSA, ARP)—and their deadlines—mean
that ESSER funds can be difficult to navigate, too.

In this one-hour, on-demand webinar, Joe Thompson, Chair of the Committee
on Legislation for the American Library Association (ALA), will moderate a
conversation with three experts leading the charge in securing this crucial
funding: Heather Bassett, Government Affairs Liaison and Policy Analyst at
Albuquerque Public Schools; Megan Cusick, Assistant Director of State
Advocacy at the American Library Association; and Julie A. Evans, Ed.D. and
Chief Executive Officer of Project Tomorrow. You’ll learn about the tools
you need to understand and access funding—and the many resources you can
apply it towards, from on-demand professional development to evidence-based
digital curriculums.

Plus, you’ll receive additional resources designed to help your district
tap into ESSER funds to recover lost learning, support social and emotional
learning, and more, from partners at the American Library Association;
Booklist; and Gale, a Cengage company.
