[CASL-L] Circulation numbers

Hi Matt,

We are a school of 1270 students. This is my third school year and this is
our first year with a block schedule. The 84 minute period and a culture
change in our English department to embrace independent choice reading has
had a significant impact on our circulation numbers this school year.
Additionally, we also have a multi-collection with 5-20 copies of popular
texts used for book clubs. (We do have a book room for English teachers,
which does not get included in our circulation numbers.) Last year's
numbers were impacted by 40% of our students being remote. These numbers
do not include audio/ebooks and are from 9/1 to 2/13.

2017-18: 2868
2018-19: 2728
2019-20: 2315
2020-21: 1829
2021-22: 5,757

If you're looking for more information about changes we've made this year,
let me know. While we've put forth several new initiatives to increase
circulation, they pale in comparison to the impact of our block schedule
and choice reading.

Take care,
Jessica
