Hi Jen,
One year, due to covid, we had our senior prom (roughly 400 students) at
Sonny's Place in Somers. It took a bit more planning than normal, we had to
rent linens and place-settings, BUT it was a huge hit. Our dance venue was
in the back at the pavilions (this provided coverage in the case of rain),
the DJ set up on the grandstand, but even better, the students had access
to the entire venue and all rides and games were included. It was not open
to the public after a certain time (I can look back in my notes for
specifics). While the kids were initially put off by the location, they
ended up telling us that they had the best time. There were kids in prom
dresses and tuxes in the go-karts, riding the merry-go-round, in the
batting cages, on the zip-line, etc. The pictures were so cool. If you
think you might explore this option, feel free to reach out to me, and I
can provide you with some pointers.
