[CASL-L] Adaptive Library Class

Hi Michelle,

I do an adaptive library class as well. I go into the classroom (students
are in grades K-4). I think that what you do really depends on the students
in the room. I think that what you did is perfect - it's so helpful to
check with the teacher regarding student goals.

I typically do a short 15-20 minute session with just book checkout
(choosing from pre-selected books), and a read aloud. Again, it really
depends on the students. In previous years, some classes have included
related hands-on activities.

In the past, I have also collaborated with the music teacher. We combined
our classes into one 20 minute session with a hello song, a music activity,
a story, and a goodbye song.

I hope this helps!

Angela
