[CASL-L] One book one school successes for PreK-2 or PreK-5

Hi Jenny,

In the past PES did One School One Book events with Escape from Mr.
Lemoncello’s library with in school library scavenger hunts and an evening
library “lock in” at the public library.

We also did A Snicker of Magic.

We also did Hans Christian Anderson and Cricket in Times Square (don’t
recommend). Fun events, dated books.

Eventually we switched to a March Book-a-day picture book celebration where
we curated a set of new PBs and sourced sets for each grade level, did door
decorating, and…? We made calendars for outside each classroom and they’d
post the book cover they read each day so other classes could see when they
walked by. Not sure what it grew into after I left but I think the whole
district may be doing a version of it.
