Having gone to a program that immunity to these disease is determined by vaccination status to current recommendations or immunity confirmed by titers, has been a good ROI.

Exposure management now consists of running reports to document the immunity of the exposed staff- 
We have not had to remove anyone from work due to unprotected exposure since instituting this policy, nor have any staff come to work ill and exposed patients. 

There is an opt out process- but when staff understand they will be out of work for 21 days after the last known exposure, the vast majority choose to be immunized if they do not have protective titers. 
It would be my desire to have non employed providers have this same process, but we are not there yet.

Massachusetts does not require proof of immunity except for maternal/fetal practice. It does recommend following CDC Recommendations.
We review immunity and test for immunity to MMR and VZ and then offer vaccination free of charge if not immune. We require proof of immunity for those working mother/baby unit prior to beginning work. Credentialed providers and staff are treated the same.

Proof of immunity is required for Rubella, Rubeola, and Varicella. It can be lab titers, documentation of 2 doses of vaccination, or for Varicella, it can be history of disease based on physician diagnosis. This is required for all employed staff and volunteers. Licensed Independent Practitioners are only tracked for TB.

Like Dr. Hudson we require documentation of 2 MMR at least 28 days apart or protective titers for employees and volunteers.  The requirement is the same for medical staff employed by our organization as well as credentialed independent providers.

Yes we require proof of immunity or vaccination. For MMR we provide vaccination, for VZ we provide antibody testing and then vaccination if negative.
If born prior to 1957, considered immune to measles and mumps.
Same for all. (our physicians are employees, though we have a very small number of community physicians with privileges, same requirements apply to them.)
