American Nurses Association has some good resources on safe patient Handling. Also there are sections in this document on safe patient handling as well as health and safety committees, including list of free resources at end of safe patient handling section .

Free access guide on healthcare hazards includes lifting and other ergonomic hazards, communicable diseases, hazardous drugs, chemicals, radiation, violence, stress and shift work. The researchers have summarized the literature on controlling 30 hazards by 150 engineering means such as ventilation, shielding, automation, and administrative changes in procedures. Each section includes literature on controls and internet resources where the reader can find more information.
