We require the same thing as our employed nurses need... but we expect the agency to provide it all (based on our requirements). So they have to do a 12 panel drug screen, certain vaccines or titers, etc.
We do the background screening and verify their licensure.
The drug screen must be within 2months and the Tb test must either be annual for 3 years or a 2 step done at the time of contract.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Angency Nurses
We are going to bring in some agency nurses to help with staffing shortages. How do you handle these individuals for onboarding? Besides proof of vaccination history, do you do ppd's and drug screens on them or do you utilize the documentation from the agency? Are there time limits on when the drug screen or ppd should be repeated at your facility?
Thank you,
