We definitely do a PPD on their first date to ensure they weren't exposed between then and the last PPD, but if the previous PPD was recent we will use that for the first step. I ask for immunizations, and hopefully the agency has them so its not a difficult thing.
The drug screen is handled through our HR, so I am not sure of their policy. Would you like me to forward the question to her to ask, or do you think you will get enough responses to help you out?

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Angency Nurses

We are going to bring in some agency nurses to help with staffing shortages. How do you handle these individuals for onboarding? Besides proof of vaccination history, do you do ppd's and drug screens on them or do you utilize the documentation from the agency? Are there time limits on when the drug screen or ppd should be repeated at your facility?

Thank you,
