[MCOH-EH] Antibody Testing Logistics

We have worked with our immunology director and ID, and IC colleagues.
At the present time the only indication for EOHS to do testing is an
employee who has classic symptoms (whatever those may be) and
tests negative on a couple of occasions and a minimum of two weeks have
passed. Then it might be done only for diagnostic reasons looking in the
rear view mirror.
Those situations are not common but have occurred on a hand full of
occasions. Interestingly the few that we have done have shown an ab
response.
We are also being asked to potentially participate in ID lead studies in
collaboration with the DOH to test our employees.
Those studies have nothing to do with our role and mission in EOHS and if
we proceed will need to pass both legal and IRB approval.
We do not use serology for any RTW assessment.
Thanks
Charlie Hackett MD, MPH Lifespan EOHS
