[MCOH-EH] PPDs and covid vaccine

Have any of you received inquiries about whether a PPD can be placed within a few days or weeks of receiving a COVID vaccine?

One of our ID physicians is recommending we hold off placing PPDs for at least two weeks after vaccination in case there is some type of vaccine reaction that could interfere with the PPD read. It is not a live vaccine, but it is a novel mRNA vaccine, so I suppose there is some uncertainty.

I’m curious if other hospitals are recommending any interval between COVID vaccine and PPD placement.

Thank you,
