We have eliminated testing medical marijuana and alcohol as part of our pre-employment medical evaluation. The alcohol was a very low yield test.
The City of Philadelphia passed an Ordinance prohibiting Preemployment testing for marijuana. Still, we could still be testing since many of the positions are safety sensitive. We stopped testing for marijuana Ordinance was passed. We do marijuana and alcohol testing for cause. We treat marijuana in the same way we would treat other controlled substances. We assess them for impairment and interpret the marijuana in terms of the totality of the circustances.
