[MCOH-EH] Qualitative fit testing vs quantitative

Good afternoon,
The time is about the same depending on if the first mask passes, est 10-15 minutes; however, I have found the quantitative is closer to 10 minutes, so approximately 5 minutes faster.
There is no clean up with the test and less risk for reactions. Our employees were pleased with the change from one to the other.

No, as we will wait for CDC and our state public health department input. May be able to get rid of antigen testing before RTW as we do at several Harvard teaching hospitals here in Boston.

Hi All,

As we all know CDC updated isolation guidelines for the public in terms of COVID-19. Not really sure when they will put out guidelines with healthcare settings, but has or is anyone planning to make changes at their medical center? If so, what policy to you plan to implement?

Thank you,

We recently purchased the Accu-Fit. It?s significantly less in price and have been pleased with the performance. Our fit testing takes less than ten minutes with the training inclusive of this timeframe. We have also taken our machines and humidifiers and used them in remote locations with good success. I would never go back to qualitative testing unless forced to do so.
There is no clean up of that awful saccharin/bitrex. No purchasing of the same. It?s a huge win. Additionally, we have had a couple of people with allergic reactions to the testing solutions and had to send one to our ED for treatment. Please feel free to reach out if you are inclined. AO

You don't often get email from darlene.sims at infirmaryhealth.org<mailto:darlene.sims at infirmaryhealth.org>. Good afternoon

We conduct quantitative respiratory fit testing and purchased our portacount machines from TSI.

I have 3 offices, 6 machines and conduct an average of 300/month.
We also recently purchased an adapter to use with half face respirators as we were previously only testing for N95 masks.

Please feel free to contact me for additional questions.
