Move over Photoshop: Introduction to GNU Image Manipulation (GIMP) - Oct. 4th (Bristol PL) (9:00 am - 12:00 pm)
GIMP, a free open source program, will help you create and edit professional quality images. It rivals Photoshop in its features but it's free. In this 6 hour class we'll cover basic picture editing, inserting and formatting text, selecting areas of the picture, working with layers, using the drawing tools and applying filters and effects.
Topics include:
*Working with the GIMP user interface
*Saving to multiple formats
*Basic color/lighting correction
*Combining pictures
*Working with layers
*Adding text
*Applying filters and effects
Excel 2007: From Start to Finish - Oct. 5th (Pt.1), Oct. 12th (Pt.2), Oct. 19th (Pt.3) & Oct. 26th (Pt.4) (MLSC) (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. each day)
This series of four half-day classes will bring you from novice to advanced professional.
Participants will attend all four workshop sessions.

Creating simple formulas
Using functions
Using the fill handle
Formatting sheets for printing
Part 2: Oct. 12, 2011
Creating advanced functions

Creating elapsed time/day formulas

Constructing databases
