For the love of reading

Most children now turn to ereaders at least some of the time to immerse in books, and a rich trove of fine e-literature for kids supports that habit. Meanwhile, adults continue to stand up for kids' right to read what they want in any format, as a Virginia administrators showed after voting to retain a challenged book, Two Boys Kissing, in school libraries.

A book can also lead to social action among young people—as when Virginia kids launched a campaign to help South Sudanese students after reading Linda Sue Park's A Long Walk to Water.
