There's a great website for the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame http://cwhf.org/ not sure how far back they go in terms of history, but it's a great resource and is designed to be used by schools.

I was at Social Studies Workshop recently  and the creators of this flip ebook were presenting on their project which is being piloted now with plans to be out this fall:

Should be a great resource for grades 3-4 for CT History and especially for schools with devices.

Hi everyone,

I work at two elementary schools in West Haven and was recently informed that some of the classes will be working on projects relating to Connecticut history next year.  To ensure that I have the resources they will need, I'm hoping that you all might suggest some good books (fiction and nonfiction) that would be appealing to 3rd and 4th grade students with a wide variety of reading abilities.  For example, I would love to identify historical fiction that takes place in Connecticut as well as nonfiction books about the history of Connecticut and biographies about famous people from Connecticut.  Really, anything and everything relating to Connecticut would be wonderful.
