Hello Barbara,

I hope you had a great summer and that you are excited to be back to school!

I am writing to ask if you would be willing to share the Connecticut's Kid
Governor program with your network of school librarians again this year? As
you may recall, the program focuses on students researching a community
issue they'd like to see changed, determining ways they can make a
different on the issue, creating a campaign platform, and filming a
campaign video for their school's nominee for the Statewide Election -
these are excellent opportunities for 5th grade classes to collaborate with
their school librarian/media specialist.

Thanks, as always, for your support and help in getting the word our. I
hope Jack Jackter will participate again this year!

CTKG on the Road!

In Spring 2018 we debuted the "Meet the Candidates" Traveling Exhibit
featuring panels about candidates from the 2017 Statewide Election. The
Exhibit has visited schools across the state and you can bring it to your
own school this fall! The Exhibit is an excellent tool for showcasing the
work of last year's 5th graders and inspiring your own students! Learn more
