Hi Elaine - For Fiction chapter books I have Realistic fiction,
Fantasy/SciFi, Mystery, Suspense, Sports, Historical Fiction, Animals,
Classics, Adventure, and Humor. Realistic fiction can be a catch-all, but I
try really hard to decide which area would work best for my students.

Animals - I include Magic Kitten, Puppy Place, Humphrey books those types
of things.

It really works well for my students.

Best,
Jenny
