[CASL-L] High School Incentive Prizes

Yes, in fact, I did. There are definitely high schools that have given away
Kindles, Airpods, and B&N gift cards paid for with library funds. There are
also schools that have given these types of items out after receiving them
as a donation. I have been specifically told I can not under any
circumstance purchase a giveaway using school funds, unless everyone who
participates gets something, like a pencil. I can solicit donations, on my
own, but I can’t buy anything except books or school supplies for prizes,
and not any one item of “significant” value. I am so frustrated, since I
literally gave this incentive last winter for our reading challenge.
