[MCOH-EH] Hospital volunteer health records

We have 2 types of volunteers.  For those here for humanitarian reasons who volunteer at the hospital, the hospital's Volunteer Services Office maintains any submitted records and clearances (from their private physician).  For those here for educational purposes who are considered student interns (they sign an education contract), then we maintain any health-related records and clearances.

Does anyone know of any Joint Commission Standards about maintaining hospital volunteer worker's health records? Are they maintained and stored by Employee Health, or the Director of Volunteer Services, who is a non-clinical person?
