Dear colleagues,
I am SO sorry to bother you, but Stanford's attempting to metric or benchmark the Workers Comp appointments here to optimize staffing and want to know what others are doing. Would you be able to answer these quick questions?

  1. What is the size of the workforce that your workers comp program is responsible for? 17,000+
  2. How many RNP/PA/MD do you have in Workers Comp? 6 NP's/1 MD to supervise and opine on AOE/COE/PD, etc (2 internal onsite clinics to manage 5 hospitals and 40+ clinics/ASC's) 90% of our care is run through these two clinics from cradle to grave.

3) How long (eg. 60 minutes) is a NEW patient worker's comp appt with the provider? 30min - if scheduled

4) How long is a follow-up worker's comp appt with the provider?15 min on the schedule

5) How many case managers do you have? 5 internal NCM (2 RNS'/3 LVN's) - each injury claim is assigned a NCM.

6) Any idea How many New injuries you see each week? 25 (mixture of first aid/MO/indemnities)

7) How many WC cases are filed at your place per year? APPROX is fine! Approximations: 800 MO/Indemnities and 500 first aids.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Wendy
